How CRASH Jewelry is Made

CRASH Jewelry was founded by jewelry designer and fabricator Christi Schimpke. The creative process begins in her husband’s collision repair shop that specializes in contemporary luxury automobiles. When a car door, hood, fender, or quarter panel is replaced it is often sent to be recycled. Instead of following this route, Christi and her artisans take the discarded piece of car metal and repurpose it to create beautiful, one of a kind cuffs, cuff links, earrings, and necklaces.

How is this possible?

Through years of trial and experimentation, Christi created proprietary processes that involve a considerable amount of manual labor such as metal cutting, sanding, polishing, shaping, riveting, and so much more. The end result is a custom piece of jewelry made from the metal of a Maserati, Mercedes, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Audi, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Mini-Cooper, Fiat, and American marques.

Every piece of CRASH Jewelry retains its original factory paint. We engrave the name of the car it came from on the inside of cuffs, or the backside of earrings and necklaces. We also include a CRASH Registration Card that states the name of the car, date it was made, and who made it.

 100% MADE IN THE USA.
